The Covedale Theatre

This one-floor, auditoriumed, neighborhood theatre has been designed for Cincinnatiis residentially-desirable Price Hill district, where patron demands for comfort and good taste are above average. Competition in that area is considerable, and, therefore, heightens the need to excel.

Completely fire-proof, with brick walls and a reinforced steel roof, the plan includes all accepted developments in modern building methods.

An unusual exterior treatment will utilize the combination of three facing materials in a very striking

fashion: architectural terra cotta of various colors, local limestone (more commonly called rubble-stone), and buff-colored face brick. The entire. front design will feature chiefly a massive, elliptical, terra-cottactower approximately 20 feet in circum- ' ference topped by a series of horizontal Hutings around the front half of the ellipse. Mounted on the front of this tower will be an ornamental vertical name sign. On top of the horizontal fluted ornamental top is perched a huge lantern of metal and glass, in turn topped by a metal spire that will extend
