Post-War Sketches

from the (l 'awing boards of

MICHAEL DE ANGELIS

One of the most prolific of the eastern theatre architectural specialists has submitted these sketches of theatres that are either now in the process of construction or will be built just as soon as structural materials are again available. The past war has resulted in numerous population shifts in the East just as it has in the other sections of the country, with the result that many new theatres will be needed in order to bring entertainment closer to the greatest number of patrons. While this may result in the passing of some of the older theatres, the

structu'ral eliiciencies and modern standards of the newer buildings can only improve the industryis already high level of excellence. Through such construction of new and passing or remodeling of old, the physical theatre continues to set the quality. safety, and patron-pleasing-service pace for the nationis public assemblage buildings.

Into each of the following has entered the knowledge and experience gained through many years of specializing in theatre properties, especially in the

states of New York and Ohio.
