with FRONT SHUTTER ATTACHMENT

SOME OF THE SPECIAL ADVANTAGES OF THE

5% ., MECHANISM 55!?!- '

SUPER SIMPLEX REAR SHUTTEReBuiIt as an integral part of the Super

Simplex Mechanism. Reduces the heat at the aperture from 50% to 75% as compared with the old type Front Shutter.

ADJUSTABLE REVOLVING SHUTTER*Permits adjustment to compensate for wear in the gear train.

PATENTED FILM TRAP LOCKING DEVICE--Prevents film trap door being opened by film patches. MAIN FRAME CASTINGelmproved design and sturdier construction. INTERMITTENT MOVEMENT--Patented star and cam adjusting feature.

LATERAL FILM GUIDE ROLLERSeOf large diameter, Revolve very easily. Eliminate possibility of cutting film by roller remaining stationary.

LENS HOLDEReHas front and rear lens supports and is rigidly attached to the main frame.

REMOVABLE FILM TRAP DOOR AND PRESSURE PAD ASSEMBLYmVery convenient for cleaning and repairingeeliminates "chatter."

HARDENED AND GROUND VERTICAL SHAFTeMore than doubles wearing quality. Greatly reduces possibility of bindups.

HARDENED AND GROUND SYNCHRONIZING GEAR SHAFT#-Reduces Wear and increases smoothness of operation.

BAKELITE MICARTA GEARS-eGive longer wear and quieter operation.

MAIN DRIVE GEAR FASTENING SCREW LOCKING DEVICEePrevents loosening of main drive attaching screw.

MICROMETER FOCUSING DEVICE ON LENS MOUNT&Prevents backlash and maintains perfect focus.

MAIN DRIVE SHAFTeHardened and ground, and tubular construction, provides reservoir for oil, insuring adequate lubrication at all times.

SLIP-IN TYPE APERTURE PLATEeFor standard and special effects.

STAR WHEELeThis and other parts are hardened and then ground, which

gives longer wear and permits finer tolerances than machining soft product and then hardening.

CAM AND CAM PINeQuality of material, hardness, workmanship and exact tolerances make this far superior to any similar product. lnsures quietness and smoothness of operation.

INTERMITTENT SPROCKETeRims and Radii of teeth hardened, and ground to almost zero tolerance by specially designed precision machinery.

DYNAMICALLY BALANCED FLYWHEEL-Reduces vibration.

INTERMEDIATE GEAR SHAFTeSuper Simplex hardened and ground intermediate gear shaft gives twice the wear of soft shafts.

SPECIALLY DESIGNED REAR SHUTTER BRACKET-Very sturdy and greatly

reduces the possibility of vibrationean integral part of mechanism, not an attachment.

SYNCHRONIZED FRONT AND REAR SHUTTERS-Shutters are on the same shaft, and each shutter acts upon one-half the beam, creating a dissolving effect and considerably increasing illumination. Better Light, Sharper Picture, Less Eye Strain.

SUPER SIMPLEX PEDESTAL-Designed for modern heavy duty equipment, but so flexible little ettort is required to raise or lower, or horizontally adjust the entire apparatus. Can be accommodated almost instantaneously to the screen position. Stand easily leveled at all four corners. Excellent rigidity secured by means of leveling bolts.
