The Kallet Theatre Rome.

This project for the Kallet Theatres, Inc., of Oneida, New York, is to be built in neighboring Rome, New York, just as soon as materials are available. Final plans indicate a stadium type theatre with a seating capacity of 1,000, fully air conditioned and fireproof, with one large store or restaurant. The reason for a stadium type of floor plan is the shortness of the lot for the desired seating, plus the excellent

sight lines and compactness of maintenance which result from such a plan.

The handling of the menis and ladies9 lounges t promises to produce a pleasing lobby with ample display advertising spaces which will be an outstanding feature. Another architectural accomplishment is the economy in space use at the proscenium end of the auditorium. '

THEATRICAI. IN MOTIF, THIS FRONT POSSESSES A FLAIR OF ORIGINALITY WHICH IS INTERESTING. A RESTAURANT OR STORE IS WORKED INTO THE MAN WITHOUT DETRACTING FROM THE THEATRE PROJECT.
