The Sierra Theatre

Delano, California

Situated in the mountain foothills 120 miles due north of Los Angeles, and on a lot 60 feet by 150 feet, this one-floor theatre will accommodate 900 seats. Intended for first-run pictures, its requirements in comfort and accommodations are equal to that of any large city-theatre, and, according to the plans and specifications, have been adequately met.

A temperate climate permits direct entrance from the street to the oval foyer and a resultant Hoor plan that has many advantages. The positioning of the

aisle heads, separated by a solid wall behind the last row of seats, will permit the use of structural glass doors and a day-lighted foyer. The warmth of the subdued lighting of the decorations and furnishings of this foyer at night is sure to prove inviting to the casual passer-by.

Under this plan there is suflicient available space over the foyer to provide adequate offices for the use of this theatre as a headquarters for the circuit or district executives, should such a need exist.
