RUSSELL GOODWIN LARKE

Th e Hintern Theatre (Undisclosed Address)

The problem of a rectangular lot 110 feet by 89 feet has been faced very originally and successfully with the creation of this plan for an 808-seat theatre, complete with the orthodox lounge and service rooms, plus one adequate store.

I To be constructed in northern latitudes, noted for severe winter weather, the main box oHice is situated inside of the lobby. When desired, how ever, a display panel may he removed and a second or outer box oflice put into service. The number and location of other display panels will provide exceptional advertising areas.

Of note also are the location, size, and storage facilities of the candy counter framed by the grand staircase to the lounge. And the spacious luxury and privacy of the lounge itself and its adjoining rooms.

SIMPLICITY IS THE KEYNOTE OF BOTH THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR, WITH THE GREATEST EMPIIASIS PLACED ON PATRON COMFORT AND EASE OF FUTURE MAINTENANCE. All. INDIRECT lIGHTING, HEAVILY UPHOLSTERED SEATS, SUMMER AND WINTER AIR-CONDITIONING ARE INDICATIVE OF MODERN OPERATION.
