The Tele Theatre

Undisclosed Address

Very frankly designed as an income-producing project, in which the 500-seat theatre is the key but not the chief interest, this plan has wide application in many locations.

While the theatre marquee both lights and dominates the main corner, the foyer shares the square footage of that corner with a fine store. Clever handling of the L-shaped foyer and lobby enables the auditorium proper to use the least valuable rear portion of the lot, while eight other stores surround it on the street sides. Further to enhance the rentpaying properties of such a project, apartments or

professional offices might be built over the store areas.

As a theatre study, the resulting show house is pleasing and smartly adequate to modern standards. The manager's oHice is in a prominent position for . patron service and crowd control, and the door. directly into the ticket booth provides many safety ' features. Many locations for candy machines or a candy counter are available in the inner lobby, while 7 the grand staircase to the usual menis and ladies9 lounge rooms on the second level provides a decorative lobby spot.
