Warners' New 1,564-Seat Cinema in Cleveland's Shaker Heights

The Vogue Theatre

A new Warner theatre now provides the citizens of Clevelandis Shaker Heights and surrounding areas With a theatre pleasing to the eye as well as commodious and comfortable to the patrons.

The exterior of the building has been designed in a Neo-Colonial type of architecture, with red brick walls and white trim. The marquee, designed to tiow into the building with no sharp breaks, is trimmed with soft rose neon borders. Silhouette letters are used to announce the current attractions. The marquee is designed in a manner so that the announcements can be seen from any angle while prospective patrons are driving or walking by the building. The

soffit of the marquee, which extends to the front entrance doors, is studded with lights, as well as being provided with special outlets for spotlights and, around the perimeter, hooks have been installed for. the hanging of banners and ivalances.

Walls of the open front entry are surfaced with structural glass with a marble base. This facing material mir rors the marquee soilit lights resulting .

in an endless realm of lights. Base of the box oiiice matches the walls of this entry. The box office is equipped with two ticket-selling openings, so that two cashiers may be used when necessary. Floor of this front entry is colored pat tern terrazzo. Entrance doors to the



lobby, and the doors to the foyer, are covered with Formica.

The entire lobby is carpeted, except for the recessed rubber mat at the entrance. Walls of the lobby are covered with dame-proofed damask in a deep rose pattern. Display frames in the lobby are illuminated with fluorescent lights. General illumination is provided with soft white neon concealed in a dropped center beam which also encloses the air-conditioning duct.

The foyer walls are covered with a dame-proofed damask of gold chevron pattern. The wainscot is covered with bleached walnut. An illuminated mural, in a recessed panel, shows the Burbank, California, studios of Warner Brothers

:h'angeable letters on each face can be seen from any angle. The sottit extends to the front entrance doors. Special outlets have been installed for special spotlights. and hooks have been used around the periphery tor the hanging of announcement banners and valances when it is desired.
