The Boomer Theatre is owned and operated by Griffith Theatres, of Oklahoma City, and is located in Norman, just off the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Jack Corgan was the architect.

The theatre is comparatively plain, although highly decorative in the front part of the theatre. The front itself is faced with stucco, illuminated with neon and a sign and marquee decorated in red and white, the colors of the University of Oklahoma.

The foyer is very nice and colorful, with the walls above the head line covered with a washable cloth in a striking design in tones of peach, blue, and white. Over the doors leading into the standee area at the rear of the auditorium is a large mural recalling the days when the settlers arrived by ox-drawn covered wagons.

The auditorium seats 875 people on one floor, although there has been provided on the projection-room level a special viewing room, seating 35, which is used for special parties and other groups. The auditorium is plainly decorated, with the general illumination coming from a cove running the full length of the space on both sides of the ceiling. A stylized leaf pattern is used on various sections of the side walls to remove the drabness that might otherwise obtain.
