Central loudspeaker systems, with power output of 75 and 150 watts!

ln-car or post-type speaker systems with power output of 150. 250 and 500 watts. the largest 01 which will serve more than 1800 cars, and has emergency provision permitting operation at 40, 250 or 500 watts.

The Motiograph in-car speaker. larger than most units. is of quality manufacture, fabricated from heavy gauge drawn steel. plated and finished in light blue enamel. A special rubber-covered hook provides support at any desired position in the car. A constant impedance volume control is mounted in a recess in the front. Coiled cord or theftproot connection cables are optionally available.

The in-car speaker unit is weatherproofed, the cone water-proofed and the metal parts are treated to resist corrosion. The characteristics of this unit are exactly matched to the acoustical characteristics of the speaker housing resulting in exceptionally good tone quality.

The 53-7535 Shelter and Junction Box has a flanged metal base section which may be mounted either on a pipe post or wooden fence post. The ends are slotted to permit the speaker cords to hang downward. Terminal blocks are

provided near the center for the speaker and teed cables. and the universal impedance matching transformer tor two speakers is adjacent to them.

Speaker shelter compartments and a center transformer compartment are provided by the formed metal cover tor the base section. It has flanged and hinged doors at either side. and fits snugly over the base section to provide adequate weather protection for two SEs753O incar speakers. With the supporting posts properly located between each two car positions, the speakers may be taken out of or be placed in the shelter cornpartments without the necessity tor getting out of the cars. Provision is also made for ranging the speakers on the outside at the shelter box for quicker access in good weather.

The meal parts are fabricated from heavy gauge bonderized sheet steel finished in light blue. weather resistant enamel. The transformer circuit is so are ranged as to prevent accidental speaker cord shorts from disturbing other speak. ers on the same ramp feed line.

Proper sheltering ot the speakers prevents cone failures, corrosion of metal parts. particularly in the speaker unit magnetic structure. and general de. terioration caused by exposure to the elements.
