WITH THE TOP REMOVED, the tubes and components of the rectifier are easily accessible. In the picture, the tubes have been removed, as the unit is prepared for shipment. Six-tube rectiliers of this type can be obtained to deliver either 60 to 70 are amperes or 60 to 80 are amperes. Both the d-tube types operate on an input of 230 volts and 60 amperes. Many theatres are using tube-type rectihers.

ROTARY TAP SWITCHES are included on all the tube-type rectifiers. Fully enclosed, the switches will rotate in either direction. They are manufactured from non-carbonizinq materials.

Sample of these rectifiers have already been submitted to Underwriters, Laboratories for approval.

MODELS AND USES

The line of tube-type rectifiers, recently announced by the Radio Corporation of America, includes models using two, four, and six lS-ampere rectifier tubes with input and output requirements to meet the needs of all motionpicture are lamps of less than 80 amperes direct-current consumption. Detailed specifications to facilitate selection of the proper rectifier for any given type of equipment are given in Table 1.

Model 30 A-1 and Model 30 A-2, of the two-tube type, are for use With lowintensity lamps.

In the four-tube group of rectifiers, Model 40 A-1 and Model 40 A-2 are for use with the Brenkert Radarc and other 1-kilowatt arc lamps. Model 50 A-2 and Model 60 T-2 may be used with either the Brenkert Radarc (1 kilowatt highintensity) or the Brenkert Enarc and such other general all-purpose high-intensity lamps as the Strong 1-kw., the Simplex-High, or the Peerless Magnarc.

Two six-tube rectifiers are represented. Model 70 T-2 and Model 80 T-2 are for use with general purpose are lamps, such as the Brenkert Enarc or the Peerless Magnarc when a 7-mm. or 8-1pm. carbon trim is used.
