The Battle Creek Auto

Battle Creek, Michigan

Primarily a drive-in, the Battle Creek Auto Theatre also has the unusual attraction of a 40 x 60 feet concrete dance fioor located outside the concession stand. Here patrons may dance before the start of the evening show and also during the half hour intermissions. Also included for patron service is a supervised playground for children at the base of the screen tower.

The plot plan shows the theatu's location at the Intersection of two main thoretares. Also shown is the V-shaped attraction board which stands in

moonlight lighting, enabling hungry or thirsty patrons to find their way to the refreshment stand and back to their cars without any difficulty.

Two ticket offices, handling four lanes of trailic, are located half-way back of the theatre thus giving a large waiting room area off of the highway. The manageris office is located on the second floor of the entrance building, enabling him to see the entrance, exit, entire theatre, and highway from his desk.
