The first building erected on the site of a future large shopping center, the Sparta was opened August 23, 1950. A parking field in the rear holds 350 cars.

White columns and red brick form a colonial front for the house. Illumination is by floodlights from a street pole.

The lobby and foyer areas are paneled in knotty pine throughout, and the iioor of the former is covered by red rubber matting with a colonial figure inscribed. Lighting fixtures, likewise colonial, are suspended from the ceiling.

Rest rooms on fioor are tile and

plaster. A cry room is also on this level, while a candy bar is in lobby.



KNOTTY PlNE WOOD PANELING with rose damask has been used on walls of the auditorium. The colonial theme at the house has been carried on in the exit doors. carpeting and lighting tixtures on wall:
