This 836-seat house was opened August 30, 1950, to serve a drawing area of 30,000 high type office and factory workers.

Situated in a neighborhood shopping center, it has special provisions in the loge section to accommodate the wheel chairs of paraplegic patrons from a nearby Veteransy Hospital. Another special feature is a large community meeting room on the mezzanine floor.

The modern exterior leads into an interior that is resplendent in every detail from the gold contour curtain in the auditorium to the beautiful ceramic tile floors in the wash rooms. THE CONTEMPORARY EXTERIOR DESIGN has a pink lile lacing around (he lreillage. Entrance doors are aluminum and plate glass. ,The main lloor entrance wrlh lhe balance ol lhe lronl red brick, marked by cast iron layer is comlorlably lurnished and has a colarlully allraclive candy bar.
