El RANCHO Victorville, Calif.

Serving a drawing area of 5,000, populated mainly by ranch and cement workers, the El Rancho shows first-run pictures on a three-change-per-week basis.

The handsome flagstone exterior is surmounted by a false front of frame and stucco with the theatre name spelled

out in large letters across the face. Attraction boards project from either end.

Patrons proceed from an outside lobby finished in green plaster into a foyer with light green walls and white ceiling.

Rest rooms, cry room, and candy bar are all located at one side.

There is no wall lighting as such in the auditorium of the .house, which opened July 26, 1950. Two circuit diffused lights are installed in the ceiling for bright and running lights.
