Great Bend, Kans.

A first-run house in the main business section of its community, the Crest was opened November 9, 1950. An adult admission of 65c is charged.

The front is terra cotta in shades of rose bum azure blue, light yellow, and maroon with glass block panels and ornamental metal.

Walls in the combined lobby-foyer area are a dark grey-blue with magenta ac" cents. The ceiling above the indirect lighting coves is off-white.

Facing a long refreshment bar is a hugeibuilt-in seat with planting in the middle. Other features of interest on the main floor include a small cry room and a party room for special occasions.

A staircase leads up to a mezzanine with modernistic furniture selected to harmonize with a color scheme similar to that of the lobby. Off this area are the tiled menis and ladies rooms.

The auditorium is finished in subdued tones with illumination by liush downlights and indirect lighting coves.
