NEW MAYFAIR Philadelphia, Pa.

Located in a busy uptown shopping district, this house was opened June 7, 1950. The patronage consists mainly of middleclass working people.

The baked enamel and glass front opens directly into a small vestibule, or outer lobby, with walls of natural wood and corrugated transite and a decorative asphalt tile floor.

Walls of the main lobby are done in a free-hand pattern of brown and beige, and lighting is indirect. A long candy bar is at one side opposite tiled rest rooms.
