TERRACE Robinsdale, Minn.

On a knoll overlooking a lake sits the 1300-seat Terrace, the initial unit of a community center in a park-like development which is to contain a variety of stores and services. Accommodating a total of 1000 cars, there are several parking spaces within the area which can be reached by landscaped drives that connect two highways and give access to the theatre on two sides.

The charming exterior combines a facing of ordinary and grey brick with lannon stone veneer applied to concrete block and redwood. Plate glass along most of each outer side of the lobbyfoyer forms a continuous picture window across the entire width of the building.

The astounding lavishness of this million dollar theatre is a daringly successful accomplishment for the builders.
