FOX-BAY Whitefish Bay, Wis.

Unusual feature of the Fox-Bay, located in a suburban shopping district, is the effective way the entrance, lobby, and foyer were unified to carry traffic to an auditorium which is behind stores flanking the theatre, without structural interruption, and without creating the effect

of a long corridor (see plan). The theatre front is constructed of

green Verdi marble, and the attraction board on the streamlined marquee is the type which is changed from the inside.

Despite its small appearance from the outside, the Fox-Bay seats 988, with its stadium-type balcony accounting for the relatively large capacity.

The color scheme of the lobby, foyer, and auditorium is two shades of grey and red. Eight drop chandeliers light the auditorium.
