MARINA 0

San Francisco, Calif.

Originally constructed in 1927 on land which was the site of the Panama International Exhibition, the Marina was completely remodeled and reopened its doors on February of 1952.

The front of the theatre has terrazzo figures which are carried from entrance j doors to the curb. A special aluminum 1.] and ceramic tile boxoflice maintains the decorative scheme.

The lobby was enlarged and done in green, rose, and yellow. Auditorium walls were acoustically treated, and new i air conditioning installed. The ceiling and side wall panels are orange, the ceiling being lighter than the walls.

A new seating arrangement reduced the number of seats to 850e200 less than before the remodeling. All loge seats were installed. The stage was redraped with glass cloth drapes in shades of rose and silver.

Drawing its clientele from one of the best residential districts, the atmosphere created is one of luxury and taste.
