CENTURY'S PROSPECT ' Flushing, L. I., N. Y.

This theatre underwent an extensive remodeling job that took a month to complete, and during which the theatre closed.

A new marquee sign was installed and stainless steel display cases replaced the wooden ones. The boxoffice was refinished in stainless steel and glass doors put in.

All plaster ornamentation was removed from the foyer, and recessed lights installed. A new candy bar with

an oak formica finish was put in, as well as new carpeting, and freshly painted walls.

In the auditorium old veneer backed chairs were removed from the orchestra and replaced with push-back models. Balcony and loge seats were also replaced. Old return air mushrooms were removed from the orchestra fioor and new return air grilles installed in the side walls.

In order to show the new systems a 44-foot CinemaScope screen was installed, full stereophonic sound equipment and theatre television.
