BRUEN'S SUNDOWN DRIVE-IN Whittier, Calif.

This theatre is constructed on a tract covering 14 acres, and can hold up to 1000 automobiles.

The concession building, with counter areas accommodating four complete stations, is done in coral and green. This building also houses the restrooms, and is heated and air-conditioned throughout.

A unique type of construction was used in building the screen tower, which stands seven stories high and is about 110 feet wide. Each of the three pylons supporting the tower weigh 44 tons, and are said to be the highest and heaviest prefabricated reinforced steel concrete steel slabs ever raised. The tower is curved with a radius of 350 feet.
