Located in one of Montrealts larger neighborhood shopping areas, the Montrose is part of a building housing four shops and 11 apartments.

This was the first theatre in the city to be built especially with CinemaScope in mind, and is fully equipped with a 46foot wide screen and a full stereophonic

sound system.

One of the outstanding features of this theatre is the large vertical sign with each letter of the theatre name being circled in lights.

The Montrose has a seating capacity of 950. The chairs have green plush backs, and the leather seats are pumpkin. The metal parts are painted blue.

The projection and sound equipment is of the latest design, and is capable of showing all of the new film processes.
